Lighting Statements & Designs 

Lighting Statements:

Lighting statements are what light your show needs for example "Warm spot is needed Down Stage Right for streetlight effect". The intention of these is to ensure you have everything covered and you now what you need to do to make a show look the way you want it too.  Our Statements where: 

• Warm Wash 
• Cold wash 
• Gobo Wash 
• Multiple Colour Wash (Red, Amber, Blue) 

Initial Lighting Designs

This is the first initial plan I created for this project it was missing some key lighting structures,  like top light for example, but it was a good base start to adapt. I took this design to see a few professional lighting designers I know, to see what they liked about it and to get some constructive criticism.

This was a plan I created after to speaking to other lighting designers, who gave me some tips and advice. Me and Kieren then talked about how we could adapt this to work in the space we had as well as to fulfil all our lighting statements.

This design was the last one myself and Kieren decided on before we got into the space. We decided to do the ground plan and air rig separately so it was easier to do the fit up and we could give people different tasks.

This is the plan and the ground plan that we ended up using after having to adapt on the day. We changed a few fixtures around and moved some of the fixture placements. Only the Downstage Left Source Four had a gobo in as there weren't any holders. Overall the plans worked well for our lighting statements and I am happy with how they turned out.
